Woops, didn't know you intend to blog abt the article too. I didn't put much comments anyway, and perhaps you can provide the men's point of view? :)
men's (well, a man, to be exact) point of view: we're OK with it. in fact, women dont lose anything at all. they gain. i remember the women&housewives during our Prophet(PBUH)'s time were all asking, O Messenger, our husbands get to go out and do all sort of things, visit others, work & travel, and gain so many hassanah (good deeds) - while we're stuck at home nurturing. The Prophet then replied, spread the good news - if you obey them, then you'll be rewarded exactly the same.
